Lyrics: Roy Kim - As it looks

The Hidden Heroes of the Docs World Independence Movement

In KBS1's documentary, which is broadcast on the 31st, 'Hidden Heroes of the Independence Movement, Oriental Medicine' is spreading.

Veil independence activist, oriental medicine doctor.

Indeed, countless independence activists gave their lives for the country during the 35 years of Japanese colonial rule until 1945.

The number is recorded in the memorandum of independence merit collected by the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs.

But countless remain anonymous, forgotten in our memory.

The Korean medicine industry, which was subject to repression and discrimination during the Japanese colonial rule, is also actively participating in the anti-Japanese struggle.

In his place, he performs a hot independence movement.

Through the independence movement of oriental medical doctors who did not know the world, we tell a hidden story in our history.

▶ Japanese colonial medicine

Unauthorized rule by Japanese imperialists plundered national sovereignty and began to rule our nation by force.

Not only economic extortion but also omnipresent ruling policy to exterminate national culture.

Traditional medicine, oriental medicine, was also subject to oppression.

Eventually, the independence movement of Chinese doctors to resist Japanese imperialism and keep traditional medicine was engulfed.

First of all, the oriental medical doctors who have been in the field of oriental medicine have formed a nationwide network, and have continued the traditional medicine of Korean medicine by concentrating on academic exchange and backward training.

▶ The oriental medical doctor who became the vanguard of the Uiyeol armed struggle

In September 1919, an explosion burst through the Seoul Station.

It was Kang Woo-gyu who threw a bomb at the 3rd Governor-General.

At the time, at the age of 65, the vanguard of the armed struggle imprinted the desire of Joseon independence toward Japan and the world.

He gained trust from his hometown and Manchuria as a medical doctor. He built Shinheung-dong Korean Village and established Guangdong School to devote everything to education.

The alleged bombing, which was an older man but more enthusiastic than others, was an example for the younger generation and a catalyst for the fierce armed struggle.

Independence Forces also had a medical doctor

Three Great Independence Forces of the Republic of Korea, Cheongsan-ri, Bong-o-dong and Dae-e-ryeong.

It is one of the most successful battles against the Japanese.

Surgeon who is essential in battle.

To date, the existence of a surgeon in the study of independence movements is not well known.

Shin Hong-kyun, a Korean doctor who participated as a military doctor in the Battle of Daejeon Spirit in 1933.

Following the clues in the will of his descendants, he explored a fierce battle scene and met a hidden story that won the victory by the surgeons.

Independence forces operated an ambush at Greater Age, the way for Japanese troops to pass.

The bad weather, however, created a crisis for the independence forces.

At this time, if a medical doctor used the base to avoid the crisis, he posted a criminal record of defeating Japanese troops and increasing combat power with enormous booty.

▶ Base of Independence Movement, Korean Medical Center

The letter wrote by the poet Yuk-sa, a resistance poet, ‘Subu Sunhaeng’.

It was a token left by her uncle, Herbal, who supported independence and funded military funds.

He is a veteran who helped make the Wangsan falsehood a reality.

He has served as an independent fundraiser, traveling at home and abroad.

Hurbal, who was also a renowned Chinese medicine doctor, runs his own medicine in Manchuria.

Independence activists including Lee Si-young came in and served as a point of contact.

In addition, the proceeds of the Korean medical clinic was supported by the activity and living expenses of comrades.

The independence movement of oriental medical doctors was the driving force for oriental medicine.

As the land hardens after the rain, Chinese medicine has developed into a stronger medicine.

The vision of a new independence movement will have to find more hidden heroes of history.
